Is the entrance fee to the Tatio Geysers included?
If you book directly through the website, the entrance fee is not included, because the ticket type may vary depending on each passenger. If you request a quote through our bot or with a Molantur travel advisor, entrance fees are included in the final quote and managed by Molantur.
Do I need acclimatization for the Tatio Geysers tour?
Yes, we recommend at least one day of acclimatization in San Pedro before taking this tour. The Tatio Geysers are located at high altitude, so it is important to hydrate well, avoid alcohol the night before and inform us of any relevant medical condition.
How cold is it at the Tatio Geysers?
It can be very cold, especially before and during sunrise. Temperatures can be below freezing, so warm layered clothing, gloves, hat and a windproof jacket are essential.
Is the Tatio Geysers tour physically demanding?
The physical difficulty is low to moderate, but the altitude and cold make it more demanding than low-altitude tours. The walk through the geothermal field is short, but it is important to move slowly.
Is breakfast included?
Yes. The tour includes breakfast during the route. Vegetarian or vegan options can be considered if requested in advance.
Does the shared tour visit Geyser Blanco?
No. Geyser Blanco is part of the private version of this experience. The shared tour visits the Tatio Geysers, Putana and Machuca wetlands, and the village of Machuca.

Each tour includes transportation and a professional guide, while entrance fees to parks are usually paid on site. San Pedro is not only a destination, but a base to explore the Atacama Desert through different levels of comfort, adventure and connection with nature.
